The pandemic has undoubtedly affected the UK economy beyond belief. Huge reductions in vital funding have ultimately left charitable organisations struggling to deliver much needed support to our communities, so it is more important than ever that we do our bit to lend a hand to these incredible lifelines. We’re therefore delighted to announce that we will be proudly supporting local charity Herts Young Homeless in order to spread awareness and raise crucial funds to help prevent homelessness and provide support to those who are most vulnerable.

Who are Herts Young Homeless and what do they do?
Herts Young Homeless is an independent Hertfordshire based charity on a mission to prevent homelessness, whilst supporting young individuals and families at risk. Herts Young Homeless provide a range of free services available to young adults between the age of 16 – 24 who are homeless or threatened by homelessness.
With homelessness in the UK increasingly on the rise, we want to support Herts Young Homeless’ in increasing education around this issue and raising awareness around the hidden forms of homelessness.

We have chosen to support this charity, as this topic is something that lies close to our hearts here at Bar2, and with Herts Young Homeless being a part of our local community, we want to help make a change!
Bar2 charity efforts
With the return of face-to-face events (finally!), over the coming months, Bar2 will be getting stuck in any supporting the many fundraising initiatives run by HYH, in order to help raise crucial funds to support those in need.
We’re going to be actively encouraging all of our employees to get involved in any upcoming local fundraising events or volunteering opportunities, whilst also spreading the word to our wider network – as we truly believe that every little bit of support helps make a difference to someone's life.
